Hosting Training Programs

Unlike pre-packaged seminars that meet in hotel rooms or other rented facilities, The Grantsmanship Center'ssm training programs are cooperative ventures that utilize the resources and talents of local organizations. Both The Grantsmanship Training Programsm and the Earned Income Strategies Workshop are conducted with the assistance of a government or nonprofit agency that serves as our host. Alumnae of a training programHosts offer a supportive environment in which to conduct the training and they help us to keep costs affordable for participants. By providing this public service, hosts also enhance their own visibility and credibility in their communities. Additionally, hosts can send their staff to the training at no cost.

Benefits of Hosting

Hosts receive as many as three full-tuition scholarships, depending on enrollment. They may also choose financial reimbursement in lieu of up to two of the scholarships. In addition, hosts receive a complimentary Alumni Membership, which provides access to The Grantsmanship Center'ssm exclusive funding databases, substantial discounts on publications, and yearly proposal reviews by our workshop trainers. This special institutional Membership also allows a host organization to send one staff member to other Grantsmanship Centersm workshops at no charge. Hosting also increases an agency's visibility, generates favorable publicity, and enhances an image of community service. It also helps the host organization to network with other local agencies and to build relationships with funding sources.
