Created specifically for virtual delivery, this training combines online presentations, discussions, and exercises with offline reading and practical applications. You won't be tempted to check email because you'll be too engaged with colleagues also eager to make better communities. We know bodies can't sit too long at a screen so online sessions are limited to 2 hours with a break at the mid-point. You get the convenience of virtual plus the delight of personal interaction.
Grantmakers focus their investments on results and long-term impact, so organizations must design approaches that meet their constituency’s needs and document the positive changes that result from those approaches. This 2-day workshop covers the major aspects of developing effective programs that will inspire support. This training is focused on program planning rather than writing proposals.
During this 3-day training you'll learn how to:
- Identify & assess community needs
- Document needs using relevant data
- Specify realistic, measurable changes that will result from the proposed program
- Connect the dots between the problem and the expected change
- Articulate an approach capable of producing the desired change
- Develop evaluation methods to assess achievement
Return to your organization loaded with resources and an expanded professional network.
Included with the training:
- An e-notebook with PDF copies of class PowerPoints and other great resources
- Hardcopy of the textbook, Grantsmanship: Program Planning & Proposal Writing
- Six months of Alumni Membership benefits
Each participant who completes the full training will recieve a Certificate of Completion.
